(wish I had a better source for this incredible photo.)
Still from the film Grendel Grendel Grendel (1981) directed by Alexander Stitt and based on John Gardner’s book Grendel. Grendel is voiced to perfection by the inestimable Peter Ustinov.
A film well worth tracking down, whether on the internet or VHS… it won’t be coming to DVD any time soon, more’s the pity.
NB: The source is Michael Sporn Animation, in case of any confusion… :o)

Concept art by Syd Mead for Blade Runner.
Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield in the upcoming Hobbit films. As yet, he looks WAY too much like a Klingon… maybe he’ll look better in the context of the film.
The first part of Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland (1989). A sorta mini adventure to get ya started. Based on the amazing, genius work of early newspaper comic artist, Winsor McCay. Ray Bradbury is credited on IMDB with the concept for the movie (whatever that means in this context)! Jean “Moebius” Giraud is co-credited with story, and as conceptual designer! …and Chris Columbus is co-credited with screenplay. AND Brian Froud worked on design development!
And then there’s hundreds of Japanese people I don’t recognize who helped out, too.
